This kit contains information on Sandusky area lighthouses, as well as other lighthouses in Ohio. A teacherís manual with lesson plans, models of a lightship and fresnal lens, video, DVD and photographs of the Sandusky area light houses are also included.
The Underground Railroad: The Sandusky Connection
Explore the history of the Underground Railroad in Sandusky and the boats used by the local abolitionists to transport escaping slaves to Canada. This wooden trunk includes a teacherís manual with lesson plans, reproduction artifacts, games, videos and slides of Sanduskyís Underground Railroad sites.
Developed by the Great Lakes Maritime Research Institute, this trunk includes a teacherís manual with lesson plans for grades K-8, childrenís literature, cargo samples, Great Lakes floor map, posters, maps, CDs, DVD and powerpoint presentations on Great Lakes shipping.
Johnsonís Island During the Civil War
