Pirates on Lake Erie
From Confederate rebels to rum runners, discover the types of pirates that terrorized the waters of Lake Erie. Explore the museums’s Pirates on Lake Erie exhibit as you build your own pirate ship model, design a pirate flag, hunt for “buried treasure,” and play pirate games.
July 27th-30th, 10am to noon
$40 members, $45 non-members
The Christmas Tree Ship
Hear stories of the Rouse Simmons and the other ships that transported Christmas trees to Great Lakes ports during the late 1800s to early 1900s. Construct a model of a Christmas Tree Ship.
December 11th, 1 pm
Free with admission to the museum.
