July 26 ~ Book Signing & Program "Shanghaiing Sailors: A Maritime History of Forced Labor 1849 - 1915" ~ 1pm ~ By local Historian/Librarian Mark Strecker
August 2 & 3 ~ 'Doryak' Children's Boat Building Class - Session 2 ~ 8 am - 4 pm
Adult/Child teams can build the 14' Doryak over the course of the weekend. All tools & materials for completion of the basic boat will be provided. For registration & cost, please call the Maritime Museum at 419-624-0274.
August 15 ~ Bash Before the Splash ~ 6 pm - 9 pm
August 16 ~ Big Splash Raffle ~ 12 pm - 5 pm
70 prizes with a value of over $250,000. $100.00 per ticket. Hosted at the Sandusky Bay Pavilion. Go to BigSplashRaffle.com for more details.
August 23 ~ Movie Premiere of "The Maiden Voyage of Onward" ~ 1 pm
Movie premiere about the Onward, the boat that inspired Scott Matthews bring Matthews Boat Company to Port Clinton and start producing pleasure boats. Shown in Museum Auditorium.
October 18 ~ Boo at the Bay & Pirate Day ~ 12 pm - 4 pm
Participate in pirate and Halloween-themed activities. Hosted by the Maritime Museum. Held at the Sandusky Bay Pavilion.
November 21 to January 3rd ~ Northern Lights & Winter Brights ~ 5 pm - 10 pm
Celebrate the Holidays by enjoying a festive light display outside the Sandusky bay Pavilion and the Maritime Museum. The Museum will also be fully 'deck-ed' out inside as well and open winter hours.
December 6 ~ Gingerbread Lighthouse Workshop ~ 6 pm - 9 pm
Adults can decorate a Gingerbread Lighthouse. Kids can choose to make an edible 'Mermaid Palace' or a 'Caribbean Hut' with a boat dock. Pre-Registration required for both projects. Lighthouse kits $20 per kit, Kids projects are $6 each.
