Learn how northeastern Ohio lands, still known as the Western Reserve and Firelands, were given their names, as well as some of the intriguing events that happened upon them. Details include Benedict Arnold’s destruction of Connecticut towns during the Revolution, the trauma faced by settlers moving into this 1700s wilderness, the first Ohio conflict of the War of 1812 on Marblehead Peninsula, and the first hanging of a murderous Indian in Cleveland’s Public Square.
