Embark on a thrilling educational adventure at the Maritime Museum of Sandusky’s STEAM into Summer! Camp Series for youth grades 3-6. Join us for themed Mondays, offering both morning and afternoon sessions, register for as many or as few sessions as you’d like. Experience the wonders of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) as we explore the Great Lakes, maritime communication, boat engineering, local art, and navigation.
Technology Day: Uncover the impact of technology on maritime communication systems. Communicate visually with semaphore flags, decode Morse code, and receive a signal flashlight as a keepsake. Experience communication within a vessel using historic artifacts like the Chadburn Ship’s Telegraph and WWII-era switchboards and phones.
